my 26th birthday!

i feel like it was just yesterday i was posting about my birthday last year. well, it's rolled around again. i love birthdays! i love holidays, traditions, parties, you name it, i love it!

birthday's are a little different now (and i'm adjusting). now that my mom isn't the first one coming into my room and wishing me a happy birthday and making me whatever breakfast i want and then whatever dinner i want too! oh, and i can't forget the birthday banner always hung for whoever the person of honor is that day. i have a lot of great memories. it was fun having the entire day devoted to me. but, the times have changed and not for the worse, just different. now matt gets to be the first to wish me happy birthday in the morning and i have two darling kids i love who still need help all day. it's rewarding just different. i now get to do the things i loved on my birthday for my kids. i love celebrating their special day and start planning for it well in advance (i'm getting jack's birthday all figured out)!

it was still a special day. matt made me a cute card with jack and had it all ready for me when i got up in the morning. i decided i would make a yummy breakfast for myself. so, jack and i had pancakes with strawberries and lots of whipping cream. then, my cute friend, monica took me out to lunch to celebrate at chipotle (so yummy). it was like the olden days plus 3 kids in tow! matt's parents watched jack and sophie so we could go out to dinner that night. it was fun to 'go out' with just the two of us. we went to 'matts'... delicious! and yesterday kim took me to lunch and last night i got to go see the time traveler's wife with a few girl friends. something i haven't done since sophie was born! oh, and i successfully got my new drivers license with a somewhat good pictures. i'm more than happy to get rid of my licencse of four years with that awful picture.


i had so many wonderful cards, yummy treats, and birthday phone calls, e-mails, and wishes from everyone! thank you for making my day special!

and, although i sometimes miss being a kid i wouldn't trade it for anything. i love being these beautiful babies mother and that handsome man's wife!
