camping

the next weekend we went camping out at ensign ranch. we packed up our gear, headed out and met matt's brother, christian, his family and his sister, kim, and her family up there. it too was very fun, only one night, however this trip was definitely long enough! i only have a few pictures on my camera from this trip as well. hey, if someone i'm with takes better pictures then me, why not let them?!?

so, this is how our night started. both kids peacefully asleep in the tent.

and this is how it ended. jack asleep in the front seat of the car. he woke up everyone (probably in the entire campground) in the middle of the night with his blood curdling screams. we were in his space and we moved his pillow. he wouldn't stop screaming so we took him to the car and if everyone wasn't already awake they were now as jack honked the horn, not once, but twice while throwing a hung tantrum. let me tell you, it was delightful! hence, we will be getting a bigger tent before we attempt camping again!

jane fell in the river in her pajamas. she was still happy though!

sophie didn't even stir the entire night. hello! can't we get this at home. after we packed up camp we played in the river, paddled around the lake in canoes, and jack and the other cousins got to go on horse rides. i think that was jack's favorite part. he looked so little up there on the giant horse as i led him around. we still had a great time!
