matt turned 32!!!we celebrated the day by visiting him at work and going to lunch.
we had these delicious little cupcakes for dessert. so fun! the kids loved them.
the weekend after matt's birthday, my sister took our kids so we could go skiing. as we left to head up the canyon, we found out it was closed for avalanche control. :( no worries though, we headed up to my family's cabin in big cottonwood canyon to go hiking/skiing. i've never hiked in ski boots. it was hard, i'm not in very good shape, but boy was it fun skiing down the mountain side in a couple feet of powder! plus, my little brother came with us, and it's always fun to spend time with him.
after skiing we headed off for massages, dinner and we got stay at fun little bed & breakfast. it was fun to get away.
