a little catch up... really more like rambling

i was just looking at my blog and couldn't believe it has been over a month since i posted. i've had so many things i've wanted to blog about and just haven't had any time. this house (although i love it) has sucked all my free time and energy up.

we moved here almost exactly 6 months ago (i know, can you believe it). i can't believe how fast the time has flown by. i remember almost exactly a year ago i was in utah on vacation and was having a really hard time. i stayed up really late one night talking to my sister and how i thought it seemed impossible for us to ever get back here, mostly because of the job situation.

now here i am a year later and we've been living here for 6 months. crazy! i really love being close to so many in my family. i'm "home" and it's wonderful. with all pros there are cons though. i miss seattle.... not the rainy days or cloudy skies, but our family and friends. i miss our ward, the beautiful greenery everywhere and i miss soung, my massage therapist and awesome health insurance. haha! never thought i'd say that one. but, after all this painting i've got a bad creak in my neck and i don't know if it will ever get better. maybe when we go back in july i'll have her work on it!

we bought our house over 3 1/2 months ago. that's probably the craziest part. i feel been like we just moved in. i still have boxes to unpack and things to go through and organize. i really have been painting for what seems like every day for the past 3 1/2 months. good news though. i finished the last room. once i finish the closet in the master and the two baths on the main floor we'll really be pretty much done. i think i've built up everyones expectations though. once i do post pictures i think you'll all be disappointed. we haven't done anything major, we still have pink carpet on the main floor and we haven't touched the two bathrooms upstairs. really all we've done is paint. i don't think i would've felt such a rush to get everything painted and cleaned up so soon, except i know summer is coming right around the corner and the last thing i want to do is to be working inside. i plan on taking advantage of all the sunny days and warm weather. and, i'm serious!

alright enough rambling for one night, if you made it through this, i'm impressed! time to go to bed.
