special olympics
i had the opportunity to go help out at the special olympics last saturday with the youth from my ward. it was an incredible experience and made me want to do more volunteer work. there was one individual that i especially liked. he was such a cute little boy. i was marshaling his team down to the track for their relay and he just grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go. he was so nervous. i found out it was his first olympics. as soon as his race was over and we met up again at the finish line he once again grabbed my hand until we found his parents. he was such a sweet kid with such a big heart. it was so much fun to cheer everyone on, give lots of high fives, and thumbs up. i will definitely volunteer at this event again. i think this would be such a great family activity when the kids are a little older. what a great opportunity to spend time with these special people! i only wish i would've taken my camera.... next year i'll make sure to pre-charge the battery!

It's sounds like a memorable and rewarding experience. Serving others is wonderful!
How wonderful. You can do anything-you are a mom, wife, volunteer, decorator. Is there anything you don't do?
neat story!
I am so jealous that you get to spend time with my family. Be sure to give Jessica a giant hug for me!
