having a ball

this year i decided to try to make as many Christmas gifts as possible. i am keeping very busy... and a little stressed, but i really am having so much fun with it all! i have loved trying to come up with gifts that i think the other person will love. it's been fun to think outside the box and be more creative. i can't remember if i mentioned this book, "the creative family", by amanda soule. i love it! it has so many fun ideas to help bring the family closer together (and they're not all about crafts). i love how it encourages [you] and your kids to stretch your imagination!

this is a little summary of the book. 'When you learn to awaken your family’s creativity, wonderful things will happen: you’ll make meaningful connections with your children in large and small ways; your children will more often engage in their own creative discoveries; and your family will embrace new ways to relax, play, and grow together. With just the simple tools around you — your imagination, basic art supplies, household objects, and natural materials — you can transform your family life, and have so much more fun!'

i love this time of year... Thanksgiving, Christmas, spending lots of time with family, the fun decorations, the delicious food, the snow & skiing...

i'm glad i got a very early start as i will probably be working up until the day we fly out of here!

i hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!

I'm laughing a little bit to myself because I am doing the exact same thing and was inspired to do so by this very book! Haha We are so much alike. I want to know what you are making. I love this book. Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!

I love her other book and have been wanting to look at this one! And I want to know what you are making too! I have a plan for making mine, but I'm a little worried about it really happening...
