things happen
that i swore never would. like never ever letting my kids wear character clothing. well, the day has come. i laughed and laughed when i read this post by matt's cousin's wife, while swearing i would never let this happen to me. through a series of events (i guess) julie (aka yaya) was at the shoe store with jack and he saw these bad boys.
matt said he'd never seen jack so excited about anything in his life. jack told yaya that he thought he really loved these shoes. how could she say no. i got home that night and saw them sitting there next to the door and thought to myself, you've got to be kidding.

That's hilarious. I never liked those character shoes either, but if it gets my kids to actually wear their shoes, then I'm happy. :-D
Awww, that was so cute of Julie! I for sure don't pine after the character shoes either, but I could totally see myself splurging on them for my grandkids. I mean, what could be better to a 3 year old than shoes with their best friend's faces on them...LIGHTING UP????
I LOVE this post. So glad to see that Jack got himself some Lightning McQueen shoes. We lost Drew's sandals for a week, but we found them. You know, you have to let loose and give in to the characters every once in a while. Although you'll find that doing the girl characters aka princess stuff is so much easier (and cuter).
HA! so funny! My mom did the exact same thing last summer when she and Macy came home with Princess light up shoes! I just put them in the 'donate' pile (with a secret sigh of relief) because she finally grew out of them! But she did love them! I'm glad Grandmas can supply the things I would never buy myself. :)
OH MY HECK! I am laughing my head off. You are hilarious- I feel the same way!! I have NEVER bought my kids character stuff- I think it is the ugliest trash anyone could spend their money on ;) I will however, allow slippers to be character. that is my one allowance. And my kids know it. They don't even ask anymore. Too funny.
You are so funny. I agree with you about shoes like that but that is so cute that Jack loved them so much.
I see you eye to eye on this posting... but thankfully those shoes are actually tasetfully cute.. the black color helps not to be so noticeable! :)
