we survived...
i survived my first week home alone with the kiddos! surprised? i am! and, i only cried a few times. actually, this past week went by relatively smoothly. my three goals that i wanted to accomplish every day were to 1) take a shower. 2) make our beds. and 3) make dinner. i'm really challenging myself these days. we even made it out of the house a few times! what should i throw into the mix this week? i'm thinking about getting some painting done... now that the mold is gone (much, much better), the back of the house should be done and ready to paint (hopefully tuesday).
a few other random thoughts. as i was walking around home depot yesterday, making my weekly or rather my daily run to that store. i was thinking that i should probably just get a part-time job there for the discount (do you think they do that). i bet i could have saved us a lot of money by now!
we attempted potty training jack yesterday... with all of the best intentions (as you can see from this picture) all did not go as planned. maybe we'll have better luck this week.
is this what time-out is supposed to look like? i looked over today and saw jack hanging out of the door (where he was supposed to be sitting).
i cannot believe that sophie is going to be 4 weeks old tomorrow. it seems like just yesterday i was drinking that delicious castor oil and heading off to the hospital. she has seriously been such a delight. she is such a sweet baby and we're having so much fun with her. i'm pretty sure we're going to have another super chubby baby (just the way i like it). her cheeks (and thighs) are fattening right up. i love it! well, here's to another good week!

Yay for you! :-D It's a hard transition to 2 kids. They are so beautiful!
Wow, you've been making dinner too? I'm pretty sure I didn't make dinner for a couple of months after G was born. In that bottom picture of Sophie, she looks exactly like you Joanna! She is so beautiful. You seem like you have a lot on your shoulders and I'm really impressed that you can handle 2 kids and a house that is in the process of being remodeled. I miss you!
your kids are sooo cute...that time out looks far better than mine...kids are uaually crying...i'll give you a hint with potty training. Buy a toy that he really really wants. Put it up high where he can see it alot, but can't reach it. Make a chart for three days and if he has no accidents he gets a sticker and after those three days he can have his toy!!! It's great, worked for us two times...one more time to go...
I finally got to check out your blog. I can not believe your baby is 4 weeks. Where does the time go? She is so cute. Cute pink dresses and all. FUN. We need to get together. Please call if you have a free day and want to come over!!
