1 week old

i can't believe how fast time is flying. matt's back at work this week while my mom is here visiting (and helping out a ton). she's helping my house feel like my home, playing with jack, letting me sleep, cooking, holding sophie, and the list goes on and on. matt gets to be home next week as well which will be really nice (and 2 more weeks at that if i need the help)!
this darling girl in my ward, amy, is taking a photography class and came to my house this week to photograph sophie. it's so fun to have these pictures of sophie while she is still so tiny!

i don't want to jinx anything by saying how wonderful sophie has been, but she is really doing so great. most nights she's sleeping really well and nursing is going so much better than with jack. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that things will work out. jack is having a bit of a hard time adjusting and it's so hard for me to see him "not being himself", if that makes any sense. i know it will just take some time to settle into our new routine. i'm so thankful for all of the love and support that has been shown to us. i truly feel so blessed. i know (well i hope) it's just all of the extra hormones in me that make me cry all of the time, but at least they're "happy tears"!

I love that bottom picture. so cute. I can't believe how big they get so fast. I still consider Rowan my baby of course but man, compared to Sophie he is so dang big! Glad you have mom there- I cried when my mom left after she stayed with us for a week. I think there needs to be a law written that all mothers must reside in the same state as their daughters.

The pictures are so wonderful! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear that things are going well and the Sophie is an easy baby thus far. I'm sure Jack will love being a big brother in no time at all.

I absolutely love the pic of you and Sophie and then the one of you and your mom and Sophie. So adorable! I'm glad your mom was able to come up and help out. Aren't mom's the best? I don't know what I'd do without mine. I totally remember the crying all the time thing. I hope Jack gets back to normal here soon!

she's so adorable... i know with Kambrey she needed a lot more attention for the fist little while after the baby was born, so i tried to give her as much attention as i could, without feeling like i was neglecting the baby. It took her a few weeks to adjust but now things are pretty much back to normal. I know its hard but just hang in there.... good luck :)

What an adorable little girl. The one of her on the white fluffy blanket shows just how cute she is. . . and that she looks like her mommy. The picture of you and your mom is priceless!!! I miss her too. Still waiting to hold him. Do you know when your going to be in SLC? We need to come and see grandma!
