september 2012

i forgot how crazy life gets with a newborn.  it's been wonderful, but i've had little time to do anything besides take care of my kids and try to keep my house in some kind of order.
so... here in a nutshell is the month of september (all pictures unedited, no time for that)!
i celebrated my 29th birthday 4 days after gwen was born.  it was an emotional rollercoaster.  i cried [a lot].  i cried when happy birthday was sung to me, when i opened presents, and on and on for the next week.  when i'd start up again jack would ask me what i was crying about now.  it was pretty funny.  i was sure happy when my hormones started to balance out again.
the only shot that turned out somewhat decent.
my baby sister and her husband moved to virginia.  i am sad, oh how i miss them (especially our craft and parenthood tuesday nights), but i am excited for their adventure.  it's good to move "away".
jack started kindergaten!  i can't believe i have a child in school.  he loves it.  he has a great teacher, ms. stookey.  i'm not so sure about it, but that's not important as long as he's happy!

sophie started taking ballet lessons from the same teacher i took dance from 20 years ago!  she is in heaven and loves janet.  jack is even learning some moves.
we took a little trip up to north ogden to visit matt's grandma.  it was fun to see her and to have her meet gwen.
we had a special visit from aunt kim.  it was so much fun and my kids were in heaven with all of the attention!  it was the best.  i know it's not easy to pack up and leave 4 kids at home, so i'm extra grateful she made the effort.  she even got me out of the house and shopping!
we hiked around silver lake.  it was nice to get out, see the beautiful leaves and get some fresh [and much needed] air.

 snuggles with the baby.
