always playing catch-up...

i really, really have been wanting to blog... things have been busy this summer. good busy though! i hate to always be playing catch-up, so i'm going to try to get all caught up before we leave on our trip to seattle.4th of july!

we went to eric & katie's cabin over the 4th. we had such a great time. it was extra fun because christian & kellie were in town with their kids!

sophie just loved jessie.... i don't blame her, she's such a genuinely sweet girl!

we got to meet these sweet cheeks for the first time. this is little jake and he is darling and so happy! makes me baby hungry.

jack started swimming lessons. it didn't go very well so we decided to put him in private lessons. he still doesn't love going, but he's really made so much progress. i'm really impressed!

we hiked grandeur peak. this was matt's first time up. jack hiked to the top by himself (minus a little help on the hard spots). i was so proud of him. 3.1 miles! going down was a different story. he was so scared of the steep hill, that he ended up getting carried for a lot of it. we had great company. katie & colin came with us. i don't know if we would have made it to the top without their help! once on top we called my dad and he reflected a mirror from the front lawn. we were able to see exactly where their house was. it was pretty cool.

i hiked up to dog lake with mary ann and all of our kids. fun & hot!

father's day. i love these little munchkins!

we went the planetarium with katie & her girls. the kids loved the movie about baby elephants and orangutans. so cute! we have a big list of things we wanted to do this summer, we're slowly checking them off.
