we met up with my brother bart and his wife canessa for the afternoon. we went on a beautiful hike and it was so much fun to get to spend some time with them! jack hiked almost the entire way up to the top... 1 1/2 miles and parts of it were pretty steep. i was impressed.

we stayed out in la push (and yes, we did see some vampires and werewolves!) it was so beautiful. we stayed at first beach, but hiked to down to some of the other beaches. it really is incredible how beautiful it is. i just can't get over the fact that we live so close to all of this beauty.
we had a fire on the beach and roasted marshmellows and starbursts. yum yum!
and built lots of sandcastles. this was basically our view from where we stayed. we had our own little cabin. it was fun!
on our way home we stopped by the olympic game farm. it was cool, but sad at the same time. i'm hoping these animals were hurt or something and that they were trying to help them. look how close we are. 
matt was actually feeding the zebras. crazy.
this 'thing' stuck his head in our car and started nibbling on jack's water bottle. i don't even know what it is... elk, deer... i thought he was going to bite matt's head.this was such an awesome vacation! we wanted to stay longer!

Ahhhh! Makes me want to go back right this second! That was seriously one of the best vacations ever! I was totally bummed though that we couldnt take a ferry out there that day. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time!
