17 months old

i can't believe sophie is 17 months old today. time is flying by so fast. next month she'll start nursery, maybe start walking... if we get lucky. she is one feisty fire ball. she can still be very sweet, but she knows what she wants and she's not backing down until she gets it. funny girl! i still feel like she's my little baby. maybe it's her bald head and the fact that she's not walking yet. she's just my big baby now. right?!?

on another note. i went to see my endocrinologist yesterday for a check up on my thyroid. he's checking me off, passing me off, whatever you want to call it. i'm done seeing him for now which is a great feeling. i been going in to see him almost monthly until this last 6 month break since jack was born. i'm finally stable and can just do routine check-ups with my doctor. it's nice to feel like i have my body back. it's going to stay like this for a while.

i'm wrapping up my 'sugar-free' diet that i've been on for the past month, minus kerry's birthday party. i did allow myself a little piece of cake made from scratch. i felt like i deserved it. i've been working out daily, minus a few days due to a strained muscle in my shoulder. i have to say that i'm starting to feel better. i have more energy and would have even more if i could just force myself to go to bed earlier. anyhow... my beautiful sister is driving to our house as i'm speaking with her family and will be here for the week and then we'll all be heading off shortly afterwards for my other beautiful sister's wedding. i love the summer time (if the sun would just come out already)! this week will be filled with lots of fun things! i need it...

Have a great time with your family! I know you'll have a great time. I'll talk to you when you come back!

What great news about your thyroid! You are a champ to stay off sugar that long- holy cow, I am addicted. I am jealous that nursery is only a month away, I'm dreaming of it already!!

When you "graduate" from a doctor, the term they use is "Signing off". It means you don't need them any more. Reeds pulmonologist just signed off as well. All good news!
